Cathy McConnell, "one of the Ontario McConnells", emailed us to ask if she could be a member of the Tir Na N'og Fan Club. She said,"We love your music and the CD is one of my absolute favourites and gets frequent play."
How about that?
Another friend of the band, Nobuo Kawaguchi, of the Calgary group Collage, expressed similar feelings about the CD (Home Again, 2003) and even asked if his group could cover our song, "Dragons Fly". Of course we said yes.
After our band's performance at the Rocky Mountain Folk Club in Calgary on March 26, 2010, Harry and Sarah McCavana wrote: "As usual GREAT music. Enjoyed it. Thanks Brian. Take care."
As well, Delicia Desouza wrote: "It was a great concert Brian - enjoyed all the groups. Thanks for letting us know about it."
From the Robbie Burns Night celebrants at the Lone Pine Hall in Didsbury, Alberta, January 28, 2012:
"Where did you get these guys....they're fantastic!"
"I love this kind of music...This is my favourite drivin' and dancin' music!"
"Sure it's Celtic, but it's not all jigs and reels. These guys mix it up!"
On November 25, 2012, Steven Methot, of the Calgary Celtic Folk Club, had this to say: "Brian, my thanks to you and to the rest of Tir Na Nog. You guys rocked last night...it is clear that you guys play with passion. You also like each other - and that is clear too and I think is part of what makes you such a great group..." Thanks Steven!
